Robert Woods Johnson Foundation reports (2009) obesity rates have astronomically soared in the past four decades and continues to increase more than four times among children ages 6 to 11.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that more than one third of U.S. adults—more than 72 million people—and 16% of U.S. children are obese. Since 1980, obesity rates for adults have doubled and rates for children have tripled.Obesity rates among all groups in society—irrespective of age, sex, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, education level, or geographic region—have increased remarkably. According to Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research (2002), more than 300,000 deaths are linked to obesity annually in the United States. Today nearly a third of children and adolescents are obese; more than 23 million kids and teenagers are oveweight. (RWJF, 2009).
Our goal is to reduce obesity, educate, reverse the epidemic of obesity and provide the highest quality of health education through awesome instruction, and wellness programs which include the dynamic sport of Rope Skipping Camps, Workshops, W.i.i. Fit Academy, and Project H.O.P.E. leadership labs. Everyone benefits and our service are life changing. This organization plays a major role in reducing health care cost and encouraging people to exercise and stay fit for life.
